| Introduction |
Dr. L.Z. received his undergraduate degree at the University of Rochester. He then received his MD from Ross University School of Medicine and his MPH from New York Medical College. He has 10 years of experience in medical writing and editing, covering the fields of promotional and continuing medical education. In this realm. he has written extensively for both domestic and international clients on a variety of critical therapeutic health care disciplines. These include cardiovascular medicine, gastroenterology, metabolic disease, neurology, obstetrics/gynecology, oncology, psychiatry, public health, pulmonology, rheumatology, and urology. He also has proficiency in Spanish and obtained medical licensure in the states of New York and Maryland. Dr. L.Z. has also appreciated the opportunity to work in professional development within the medical communications field. Currently, he is an active member of several medical communication professional associations, including Science Writers in New York (SWINY) and the American Medical Writer Association (AMWA). Presently, he is a board member of SWINY as well as the Treasurer for Empire State-Metropolitan New York Chapter of AMWA. In addition, he was the immediate past President for the Empire State-Metropolitan New York Chapter of AMWA. He appreciates the opportunity to communicate issues in health care and therapeutic disciplines to multiple audiences.
